Guanggu Domo Cathedral: A Gothic Landmark in Wuhan’s Italian Street

Located on Wuhan Guanggu’s Italian-style street, Guanggu Domo Cathedral stands as a landmark of the area. The cathedral is a typical Gothic-style building, inspired by the design of Milan’s Duomo in Italy. It stands tall amidst the bustling street, with an elegant and solemn appearance, exuding the humanistic spirit of Renaissance architecture. From the Spanish-style street, one can overlook the entire cathedral, with its twin spired bell towers reaching high and the blue-tinted glass windows on the walls that appear romantic and beautiful.

At the entrance, there is a statue of Cupid in the middle of a Wish Fountain dedicated to the God of Love. Inside the cathedral, the opulence continues with Roman columns, gilded domes, and walls adorned with oil paintings, making one feel as if they are in Italy. At night, the cathedral is resplendent, shining brightly against the surrounding Italian-style buildings, filled with exotic charm. The opening hours and business status are subject to the day’s actual opening conditions.
